The sun shone brightly on the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility, as the No. 24 Clemson Tigers (20-6, 8-5) orchestrated a flawless 4-0 victory over Georgia Tech (12-11, 5-7). This stellar performance marked their 20th win of the regular season, a feat last achieved in 2014.

Dominance in Doubles

Clemson exhibited sheer dominance from the start. The well-coordinated duo of No. 36 Max Smith and Noa Vukadin defeated the No. 11 ranked pair of Nate Bonetto and Gianluca Carlini with an impressive 6-3 victory. Meanwhile, Senior Matt Pitts and Viktor Markov doubled down on success with another decisive 6-3 win against Richard Biagiotti and Christophe Clement.

Commanding Singles Performances

In singles matches, the Tigers continued to roar. No. 57 Vukadin delivered a commanding 6-2, 6-1 win over Gabriele Brancatelli. Meanwhile, Max Smith shone on his senior day, besting Biagiotti 6-4, 6-3. Freshman Edoardo Cherie Ligniere clinched the match, sealing the Tigers’ victory with a 6-2, 6-4 triumph over Robert Bauer.

The emotional resonance of Senior Day was palpable as the team honored Pitts, Smith, and Max Damm. Their contributions have been instrumental in steering Clemson Tennis towards greatness.

Onward to ACC Championships
