The family has instituted the Daniel A. Saldana Share the Love Memorial Scholarship Foundation, pledging to support future welding students at STC. The initiative seeks to bring awareness to epilepsy and offers scholarships to high school students pursuing careers in welding or technology.

Establishing Daniel’s Closet

The foundation will also kick-start “Daniel’s Closet,” aiming to provide free welding attire to students through STC’s Threads Career Closet. This thoughtful initiative offers garments necessary for the program, all contributed generously by STC faculty, staff, and community partners. According to South Texas College, such efforts embody Daniel’s legacy, assisting students who need program-specific clothing to pursue their dreams in welding.

A Community Solidarity Run

Mark your calendars for November 1st in Edinburg. The Foundation will host its inaugural fundraising event: the Daniel A. Saldana “Share the Love” Memorial 5K Run/Walk. This event not only honors Daniel’s memory but will enable future scholarships, allowing others to walk a path paved by his passion and commitment.
